Seriously, Rugrats was not fucking around.
People don’t give Rugrats enough credit for how progressive it was. I mean think about it.
- Chuckie, for most of the series is raised by a single father
- Angelica’s mother was a high ranking corporate executive
- Phil and Lil’s mom was a feminist
- She also breastfed them (which the show actually depicted)
- Tommy is half-Jewish and the show actually explored this part of his heritage
Seriously, this show was fucking amazing!! They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore….
Also don’t forget that Chuckie had an interracial family after the second movie.
How are you guys forgetting Susie? I mean her mom was a doctor and her dad was a writer for a famous Children’s TV show. Not to mention Kimmie was anything BUT submissive.
Remember when they had episodes that hit hard to issues kids might be dealing with? Chuckie only had his Dad on Mothers Day, Tommy had to deal with being outshadowed by a new baby brother, Phil and Lil were constantly being mixed up and then they had a couple episodes where they each found that even as a twin they were their own people.
Man Rugrats was the shit.
This is a serious question. Why do we see death as a horrible thing? If it’s fearing the unknown, what happens after you die, then it understand but for people of faith they should not fear death. Even if you don’t believe in GOD or any other religion why fear death. Is it how you go out? Is it thinking about all your friends that are going to mourn you because if so that’s okay. Yes the process of die would be frightening if you had to choose between eaten by tiger, buried alive, or set on fire vs shoot in your sleep. But take solace in the fact that the people you leave behind and your actions will make you immortal. If those people remember how great of a person you are or how you always gave 100% even when you knew you were going to fail and think only the best of you then I’d say you lived well enough to die with peace in your heart. And if you don’t think you can do that then it’s never to late to change your ways. For the hearts true intention is the only true way a person can be judged.
"And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it’s time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don’t we’ll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
And since a man can’t make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one
So will the real men get up
I know you’re fed up ladies, but keep your head up”
